Welcome to this year’s first edition of The Devil’s Tale, our West Haven High School Band Newsletter. Please let me be the first to welcome this year’s new members to our West Haven High School Band Family. To our returning members, Welcome Back!

This year the West Haven High School Marching Blue Devil Band is proud to present “Rock and Roll is Here to Stay” featuring “At The Hop”, “Rock Around the Clock” and other great hits. We hope to see you all at our home games. Please check the enclosed schedule so that you may plan accordingly.

A reminder to all of our Band Members, rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Please be sure to plan ahead. Unexcused absences will have a negative effect on Band grades. Excused absences are granted for legitimate academic and athletic conflicts, as well as medical and family emergencies. Notification must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the date in question. Please note that students are expected to plan their work and extracurricular schedules accordingly.

Our Band Parents Association meets on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings are open to all Band Family Members. Membership dues are $10.00 per family. Membership qualifies each family for $1.00 off of W.H.H.S. Band concert tickets for the year. Please return the enclosed membership form, if you wish to join.

Please be sure to review the necessary purchases for all musicians and color guard members. These purchases must be made in a timely fashion to ensure that everyone will be ready to perform at our first home game.
